Where is the orifice tube on a 1995 5.0? Any diagrams would be greatly appreciated. Also is a special tool needed? I'm doing my own compressor swap after the stock one locked up.

Oh, and what do I use for flushing? I talked to a mechanic friend and he mentioned a chemical... but I forgot the name.

Answered some of my own question. The orifice tube is in the liquid line. (Unfortunately I have the crimped in kind) That's the line that runs between the condensor and evaporator. It's the lower line on the firewall, and is plastic riveted/bolted to the passenger fender.

New problem... got low side pressure up to 35psi... and the compressor won't kick in. Jumpered(bypassed) the low pressure switch and still nothing. Thoughs?

you arent gonna get many responces... most people here remove their a/c
