the cam stops at like 49 something. so your not making anymore power is what im trying to say. plus the factory tach is way off like i said above. i was racing my friend pnut in his gt and i missed 3rd and redlined my tach went all the way to 7k. well the stock fuel cutoff is 6250. factory tachs way off, some of the other gauges are too, like the temp & oil pressure.

usually you shift a little after your peak power, say a few hundred rpm. you are still making good power just after the peak, and it will also keep you higher up in your powerband on the next shift.
and my stock tach is usually off by like 250 or so

I understand exactly what your saying. I don't know what is and isn't stock in my motor...but I'm glad you know when it stops pulling.
