Default low volts

I swapped a 93 thunderbird motor into my xr4ti. Initially it ran fine. While tuning and adjusting it quit abruptly. There was no spark present at the plugs or the coil. At the coil connection I get only 5.8 volts with the key on. Later that day the car started and ran. I drove it around the block and it quit. Same condition. Next morning it started ran like crap and I got it home. While moving cars around to make a space, it died while idling. Any ideas? I am planning on redoing th egrounds as they dont seem stout enough.

Also does any know the color and possition of the wires for the code reader? Mine is not right. I can not get the reader to power up.
Thanks!

Russ

Default RE: low volts

I figured it out. No dash installed failed to complete alternator circuit causing battery to lose power.
