I know megasquirt is a computer but i really dont understand it much..
Basically what it is, and why is it so much better??

its a stand alone system like the AEM EMS, or Anderson PMS
my particular setup gives me a 12x12 afr graph for setting target AFR's for the self learning function, 12x12 spark advance table, 12x12 VE table (volumetric efficientcy... injector duty cycle %)

Along with datalogging, wideband support, fan control, built in rev limiter which is user programable, I also have a window switch function for nitrous control, and im running an Alpha-N/MAP blend for compatability with long duration cams. I do not have it installed yet, im still building some base maps. But I hope to have it in before the end of the month.

you tune it yourself right??Are there any tunners out there that can dyno tune with mega squirt??

anyone who tunes with SCT can tune a megasquirt because the spark input tables are very similar. I will be bringing my car to a shop and having them asist me in my tuning. but once they set a base tune in my car, its all mine after that

have you messed with it or changed anything on your car?? O would it just be easier to get somone to burn a custom chip to your car??

well of course its easier to have a custom chip burned... but im doing this for future modifications
I had a megasquirt in my old probe and I loved it. Its a very easy system to work with, there is just alot of stuff you need to read about when setting it up.

what would you recomend. i dont know a whole lot about MS. if its not hard to learn i will but i dont want to waste money or anything
