Default how to get90+ steering wheel on 87

When i bought the car, it had some stupid wood grain garbage steering wheel in it, and i decided to look for the original one. When i looked at the boomerang type, i didnt like it, and got the airbag type on ebay (very good condition too). Now, im realizing that doesnt fit on easily, anyone evry done this, how can you make it work? i need a spacer or something right? thanks...

im not certain it fits, i know for sure i put a 87 on a 86, but i think my friends 80 has a airbag one, yeah it does, prolly need to remove the cover that goes around the column since its probably to long to fit the new wheel on, u need the coulmn cover for the new wheel as well i think
