Default about to blow my head off...

Hey guys,

Just like everything else with the stang, a basic 2 hour job turned into a complete nightmare.

I'm almost done and one of my collector bolts on the header is messy, and doesn't really want to let the nut on. I don't want to strip it again. What do u guys think I can do? I don't have the right dye and the hardware stores are all closed. This is my DD and I need it running by the morning.

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

I dont understand.... your just talking about one of the bolts that connect your header to your h pipe? Why cant you get the nut on?

Yeah it's the bolt from the header to the H-pipe and I don't want to cross-thread it onto the header's stud like it almost was. It needs some cleanup. Any recommendations besides spraying it with wd-40 (don't ahve anything else) and working the nut back and forth over it?

ok looks like i was right about it being a bolt from the headers to the h pipe... just leave the one bolt off and then put the rest on and get the right tap and dye tomorrow and fix it then, you'll have an exhaust leak but the car will still be drivable

not much you can do with out a tap and dye or some PB blaster
