Extrudehone is by far the best for porting and polishing. Its pretty expensive and you gotta send your stuff to them, but teh results are awesome. They port the head and intake all at the same time, so theyre perfectly portmatched. Not to mentioin itll be the most consistant.

I have ported and polished my own heads. Have had one set Extrude Honed, and have had the rest of my heads C.N.C. ported. I know the numbers on the C.N.C. vs. Extrude are damn near identical. However, with C.N.C. porting they are utilyzing port and combustion chamber geometries that are impossible with abrasive media porting. My $.02.

thanks, I just found out what it'd cost for extrude honing ... damn expensive, upper/lower intake $790, pair of heads are $1330, that includes media porting, polishing, and gasket matching. Still thats a lot of money, how much does the CNC run? Where did you have the work done? Thanks madman!Which would you recommend between the two, why? Thanks
