Default Performance Automatic V/B

Okay after 6 months of shopping and driving hundreds of miles to look at numerous diffrent Coupes, I finally got one just two weeks ago. (93 LX Automatic with 74k miles in great shape). With that being said I've been doing tons of research on all of the future modifications I plan on doing. The first thing I plan on doing is 4:10 gearsand a diffrent valve body for the AOD. I hate the 1-2/3-over drive shift. I'm looking at the Performance Automatic (Part number PA53301H) valve body. Do any of you have any experience with this kit, or do you recommend anything else. I've heard good things about Lentech, but I can't find just the valve bodies for sale. The car is mostly except for a C.A.I, 2200 stall convertor, tranny cooler, and full exhaust LT / H-pipe / Flows 50's. Thanks in advance..

well that 2200 stall is a piece of junk. the first thing id do is throw it in the trash. 2200 isnt enough a noticeable difference from stock. you need a 2800 at the absolute least. with a near stock motor your 2200 stall probably only stalls at 1700. you dont have the hp to stall what im sure is an off the shelf converter rated at 2200rpms. with that said, call art carr. i was about to order a lentech valve body for $479. called up art carr and told them what i was building, said he make me a valve body that was more agressive then the lentech one for $200 and it will be ready for pickup wednesday.
if you want just a valve body go to their home page and click on aod transmissions, its right there you cant miss it.
