Default Deactivating airbag notice tones

Hello, my car has driver side airbags, but they are the originals from 12 years ago, and they no longer work, so my air bag light comes on, and before, when I first start up the car, it gives the standard 5 beep notice that means the airbag is not functional. Well, now it doesn't only do it when I start up, it'll do the 5 beeps all through the drive and it's getting a bit annoying. I believe the fuse for that is also responsible for a lot of other things, so I can't simply remove it.

Does anyone know how to deactivate this notice?

-Thanks

there is a relay underneath the dash that you can find by letting the chime sound and feeling around until you find it. it may have more that one function on it, so you just can't unplug the whole thing. what you have to do is bend one prong at a time back away from the plug and plug it it and see if the chime for the airbags still sounds when you turn on the key. if it does, put that prong back where it belongs and try the next one until you find the one that silences the chime for the air bag, then leave that prong bent back away from the plug, push the plug back on tight and put the relay back where you found it. I did this to get rid of the annoying door open chime when the key is in the ignition so I could leave my door open at the track without pulling the key out all the time to do it.
