Barn correct me if im wrong but i was told that poly's wear out faster then solids of course i know this would take prob years to do but i was just wondering about that?
Of course, b/c solids are blocks of metal.... Poly's will be a better ride for a street car b/c they still give some, but they outlast the stock rubber mounts and don't deform like rubber.

^^^^^ i beg to differ. I went with poly trans mounts for more give but rough ride hell all mustangs ride rough so thats no big deal.
Did u go from rubber to poly. Because if u did.Thats why it got rougher. But not as rough as solids. They has no play at all.

Not sure car was a stock aod and changed to c4 so whatever mounts came stock and the polys that are installed now are all i have ever driven before. But when we changed out stock motor mounts to solids it got a lil rougher but then again i installed my 4 link at the same time so not sure on which to blame the shakes on but i mean really its not like using solids will make ur car a rollercoaster.

The bottom line is it's personal preference. I wouldn't want to go stiffer than poly for my stang, but you don't mind the solid mounts. Most people feel the solids transfer too much vibration thru the car.

+1^^^^ i totally agree with both of you but i was just stating that solids can be used and arent as harsh as people make them out to be. Its all personal pref like said above just didnt want solids to get a bad street name cause they are very streetable! maybe its just me but i love sitting at a light and reving the car and watch the car just raise up and down makes me feel like im in a monster truck!!!
