Those of you recommending Haynes & Chiltons have obviously never used a factory one. Check eBay for factory manuals for your car. I have full sets for all four of my cars and wouldn't ever consider going back to the generic crap.
yea but come on now... who the **** is gonna spend 100 some odd dollars on a book for their car if they only do some odd **** w. it? the hanynes/chiltons is fine for most stuff the avg person will be doing. but yea... ur right... wtf do i no.

If you keep an eye on eBay you can find them for quite reasonable prices. I bought the main service manual for my 96 Cobra for thirty bucks in like new condition and got the EVTM book for $22. All three volumes for my Bronco totalled less than $70 and I paid $45 for the set for my Crown Vic. I paid $110 for my complete set of manuals for the 93, which included the service manual, EVTM, and complete wiring schematics. I bought those new from Ford in 98.

The factory mauals make the others look like the differnece between a set of world book encyclopedias versus a stack of "little golden books"
Very well put and completely accurate.
