I think the weight of the 460 is just to much when u can stroke at 351 to a 408 and save lots of weight and still make major power plus the 351 will swap with most stock fox parts just a few things u gotta change with a 460 theres a **** load to change. Also ive seen to many foxes at tracks with 460 using a 250 shot and the fking TQ twisted the frame on that car so bad it was pointless to repair.!!! Upgrade ur rearend and sup before you do the swap and stiffing up the frame is a must sub frames would not be enought to hold that kinda power!! Just a thought.

I agree ^ , however feasable and being done before in the past, for a lot less money a dss 408 shortblock can be bought fully aseembled with 2 yr warranty for less than you'll spend building that torque monster. Also that block is a lot heavier, and the mods to the car to support it would make it unstreetable, you'd need a full chasis upgrade including 4 link suspension, k-member, frame rails, etc... it'd be a huge project!

Not sure what your[sm=oopssign.gif] is all about, but fyiDSS Racing makes a level 10 pro bullet 408W for $3560.

I have heard a few horror stories about dss.. i guess they are hit or miss.

also.. while you can stroke the 351 to a 408 or 427.... you can stroke the 460 to a 555... or more.. you know the old saying..."there is no replacement for displacement. "

I agree but every 100lbs is a tenth in the quarter mile, are you gonna put a F350 k member in there to hold the weight??? power to weight ratio is more important than displacement
