Default painting my valve covers

hey guys if i buy engine basecoat and then engine chrome paint and do all the sanding and what not will it look good?

the chrome will look like a!@ seriously would be better to paint cast slum of a bare steel color

sand them down good and use "Hight Temp Aluminum"colorspraypaint from Autozone.

it comes in "Cast Aluminum" and "Aluminum" the "Cast" color is same color
with more of flat finish vs. semi-gloss for the stragiht "Aluminum" color

Cleaned up and painted with that paint

the chrome will look yellow or just plain silver a paint that actually has metallics that will settle properly to provide a chrome look is about 1200$ a gallon
