if you have the money for an aftermarket block then you should seriously think about a 351w you could save some money with a use block and with that money make a nasty combination with it

i dont know how they work or what their product lines are, but with Trick Flow they sell just the 351 lower manifold so you can use your old 302 upper, so if Holley has a 351w lower thats compatiable with the 302 upper than all you would need is the 351 lower. If not just sell it and get a trick flow or something better, hell if you have the money for a new block then you wont be hurting if you buy a new intake

If you are going to stay away from aftermarket blocks I would just do a NICE WELL BUILT NA 347. Maybe a small shot but thats it.

If you are budget minded, Think about the rest of the drivetrain and what effects a more powerful motor is going to have on it.
