Default ignition

ok, my cap and rotor are prty old, and it really wouldnt hurt to replace them. i wanna go w. msd stuff, as it will be good for suporting my future plans(heads, and a kb). but im not to up on the whats what and what i need of ignition systems. i mean yea cap rotor, disturbutor, but whats up w. the 100 diff kinds of ignition boxes they have? anyone wanna help, or point me in a good direction? its an 88 sd(dunno if it matters) car. thanks

i would go with a MSD 6al, it has built in rev controls, so you can set your rev limiter with different sized "pills". I have a 6a, but it doesnt have a rev limiter so you have to be careful.

yea i guess thats what im asking, what ignition box would be good for my app. a rev limiter would be nice, lol, dont no wut thats like.
