Default RE: lowering springs..

i have a convertible stang with the ford racing springs. It did make it ride a lil better than the previous owner who cut the damn coils, but i did see a major problem in the front end. I believe it lowered it more than it said. my tires scrape inthe fron on the wheel well. could this be because i have the stock schokcs and struts on there? if i were to get new ones would this make my car sit any higher? and make ir ride smoother? someone offered my some KYB dont know if they are adjustable or not yet, but for like 150 they only got a few hundred miles on them? im looking to make my rearend a lil higher is why im asking, i like the low look, people look at it and go "Is it lowered?, cause it looks good." but i like the rake style stance of a mustang/muscle car. any way i can regain this look without replacing the springs cause it was a bitch for me the firs time trying to find a compressor to fit the damn springs?
