Default Body and Paint

Im taking my 90 gt to get the driver's quarter panel repaired, 2 new fenders, and a white re-paint.
after the car is repainted im gonna replace the headlights, door handles, sideview mirrors and window/door trim

the car is a daily driver so i cant disassemble it to the frame but does anyone have any experience-based tips when taking your car to get repainted?

also, does anyone know of any good quality shops in Miami FL? the one im taking mine to gave me a good price and they had Infinity's and Mercedez' being worked on so im hoping for good quality (or ill whine like a pregnant woman)

ask your mechanic if you use one or ask some fellow car guys just cause they were working on some high end stuff doesnt mean they are gonna pay attention to your old 90gt its just an old car to them

I would do some extra sanding near the edges and bottom of car. Most shops only use aair sander that doesn't get the edges as well and could cause paint peeling.

nseoi -- don't toss your lights and mirrors. Get some 2000 grit sand paper from an automotive paint supply store and wet sand your lights. sand them till you see all the milky clear coat coming off. After that use a good rubbing compound that you also got from the paint store and buff them out they will look like new. Don't get the cheap turtle wax rubbing compound get the stuff from the paint store. Your mirrors and even molding can be painted, unless they are broken.

the lights are different (last owner hit one side) and one is cracked so i wouldnt mind paying for a new matching set

and the mirrors, im gonna take them off and see their condition, if they are in decent condition then ill paint them black, they are kinda expensive
