Default Quick Question

I swapped my car to a carb and I was wondering what wiring under the hood can I get rid of and what wiring do I need to keep. Also, will my gauges, lights, wipers, and ect work if I remove the computer? I did a 94 carb swap and the main harness unplugs at the firewall but the fox doesn't.

Default RE: Quick Question

all you can remove is the intake wiring. injectors, tps, maf, all that crap. distributor wiring you can remove. you will have to get an aftermarket tach to work with your coil. all the other temp gauges should still work, i believe they are wired straight to the dash. fuel is sent to the dash. computer has nothing to do with them. they should be in seperete wiring looms somewhere along the line, from the headlights and whatnot. they usually branch out within a couple feet of the PCM connecter on the firewall.
