ok so i drove the car around and then popped up my hood to take off the gray lil spout connector guy and i shut the car off, took off the gray peice from the spout connector and a lil white puff of smoke came from what appeared to be the bottom right of my engine, by my headers, and it looks like theres a little oil on the bottom of the chrome 302 ford racing thing. "valve cover" i think its called.

ANYWAYS i lost ALOT of power when i took this gray peice off, however i did not have the surging issue.

is the smoke issue and surging issue related, or is it just like a small oil leak or what? The surging issue stopped when i took the gray peice out.

no sir, im pretty sure the problem could have been there for a very long time, it was just 1 or 2 lil quick puffs of white smoke, i couldnt notice it with my hood down, but with it up i could see it.

and coolant could be understandable because i had a water pump installed and i believe they did it incorrectly, im going to have them solve that within the next few days hopefully. The problem with my water pump, which is COMPLETELY undrelated to my surging issue, is that when im in PARK and idling, my temp will become VERY high, if i start to drive i will be fine.

cobra if u havent already i suggest getting some aftermarket gauges and sending units for ur car. the stock gauges are really misleading.

my stock temp and oil press gauges said the car ran at 180F and prob somewhere around 70-80 psi (it read near High)

my aftermarket gauges read 200F and about 50-60 psi

alright man thanks for the tip, do you know anything about the tfi moduel stuff joel was talking about, im really curious as to how to fix that issue. Removing that peice made the surging go away, but it also made me lose power, i would rev up high and be fine however i wasnt moving as quickly as i do with it in place if that makes any sense.
