steering rod hitting header

i also have this problem with my 02 gt my long tubes are hitting my steering shaft..what can i do to solve this problem???

i put BBks (Shortys) on . since i put them in.. apparently they rubbed. im guessing just driving it and letting them get cherry red (sensitve) the steering shaft made its own grove. no scraping here. 351w w/ energy suspension mounts.

i have equal lenghts and they rubbed until i put energy urethane motor mounts in..my stock ones were tired...to say the least

well i had a set of Flowtech 1 5/8" Longtubes, and mine rubbed, i dont know about your rub, but mine wasnt even enough to worry about, its still laying next to the header and i can still drive it everyday like it was anywhere close to it. besides when your driving, you cant even tell it on it.

yeah mine was pretty bad...i could hear metal on metal sometimes and they scuffed my headers up. Before i got the new ones put in, it got worse and it was making bad noises whenever i'd turn right haha!
