Default 86 GT 5.0

Will an air intake make a noticable difference in the power?
Will I feel the differnce?
Is it okay to buy a used one?
What kind should I get.

I want to do some bolt on mods any suggestion as to kind and type?
I don't want to do any major Mods no head, cam orgear changes just the basics exhaust maybe a supercharger change in the chip?

I want the car to look stock and be able to convert back to stock if I choose to ?
I don't have a lot of money so I'll have to continously add partscan someone give me some brand names and parts to look at?
What can be bought used and what should never be bought used
What parts go with what I don't want to buy something and then buy another part and have to chance the first part I just bought. I don't need a 10 sec car just maybe 11 or12.
What do you guys think

If you want to put a s/c on it, you'll want to change the heads/cam anyway so you can get the most out of your setup, and they aren't too difficult to return to stock.

well for what ur lookin for u cant change any of that **** out really, the speed density eliminates most cams, and the flat top pistons elimantes the rest of hte cams and any aftermarket heads. a gt40 intake will be all u need, and then u can get a procharger. it should run u about 2500-3000 after its all said and done,

good luck

As for a CAI, unless you want the shiny thing under the hood, go with a K&N filter and pull the air silencer. It will give you the same amount of umph. Look at my sig for exhaust ideas. I found it to be the best way to go for the money. If you do go with a supercharger do a MAF swap. All it takes is a MAF computer out of a 89 to 93 mustang, the adapter harness, and an MAF. The harness can be found on ebay for cheap. Traction is going to be a huge problem though, so you might want to consider some control arms and some sticky tires. Good luck!

I'm starting to think that the super charger might not be the thing to do. What other bolt on options do I have. If I changr the chip or adjust it will I gain a lot of power without hurting the engine? Do you need tomake other mods when changing the chip?
What else can I do I know a new exhaust will work what kind should I get I don't want it to wake up the neighbors but it needs to sound mean.
Any other Ideas?

You don't need a chip at all. A dyno tune is the way to go when it comes to that. Then a chip is custom made just for your car. You don't need one though. All you need to do is bump your timing. Just type that into the search engine and more information is available. Exhaust wise, I don't think that mine is too loud but alot of other people like bassani and slp's LM series. Look into some of those.

you wont feel a difference, dont just slap a supercharger on there and call it a day, do it right you will be much happier with the final results and you will have a way faster car.

I think I would like to get the car up to 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of todays stock mustangs or just a little faster. I'm not building a race car so what is the way to go with that though in mind keep it cheap?
