Default Underdrive pulleys vs. Alternator

I have a 1994 mustang gt. I want to put underdrive pulleys on my 5.0 witch includes a alternator underdrive pulley. Will havinga 200amp alternator power my car better with a underdrive pulley than the 130 amp? I had underdrive pulleys on1993 5.0 of mine, with the stock alternator, and had low power surges in idol. It eventually killed my alternator. Do any of you know if the 200 amp will do the same and still have power surges

Just don't put on the alternator underdrive pulley, and you are correct it is really hard on the alternator. I would just put the others on and not that one, pretty much same power gain.

Thanks for the help on my alternator. do you have experience in injectors? I see you put 24lb in your ride. If so I want to replace the stock 19lb (Denso F1ZE-C2A) injectors because they have 184,00 miles on them. I just bought some new injectors andfound outthatIhave 2 different types of injectors thatI bought on eBay.They are both orangeand thepart# onthe 1stinjector is (F2TE-A3A) 14.0 ohms 204cc @ 3bar and the part# on the 2nd injector is (FOTE-C3A) 14.2 ohms 208cc @ 3bar. Will that make a Difference ifI use them both in my engine at the same time. They look to be the same size and dimensions. The only difference is that theFOTE injector is shinier than the F2TE. My question is will they both work on my 302 if I use them together and willthey ruin my engine? My research is that they came off a F-150 ford truck. I would really appreciate your help, andif you have a question on my injectors that might answer my question, please let me know[/align]

For starters, you dont need a 200 amp alternator. it will create extra drag on your accessories and sap away MORE power. Leave your stock 130 amp in there and DONT install the alternator underdrive pulley... its not that complicated.

Also, those orange top injectors you bought.... 19# injectors, not 24#
