Default Bad idle after h-pipe install?

I found an h-pipe at my local bone yard. couldnt pass up the deal $25 for it. Ever since I put it on the idle would go from 400-1100 would keep bouncing, I had it on long enough figuring it would level itself out. My ? is could it be the fuel that its not getting enough, or cause when i found it, it still had the old H2 sensors in it? Maybe they are bad?

Most likely O2's. If not them, then possibly an exhaust leak, but I don't think an exhaust leak would cause it to idle like that. Put the O2's from your old h-pipe, that should solve the problem.

yea try the old o2 sensers or why dont you go and buy some new ones also remember when you take out the "cats" the computer has a tough time trying to adjust for the increase in exhaust flow

Mine was fine right when I put the X on, the O2's are before the cats, so the comp shouldn't have too much trouble. Only thing it may freak about is the sudden loss in exhaust pressure.

I have checked for leaks or anything like that so the only other thing is it must be the bad o2 sensors.

I had the same problem once. Do you still have all of the emissions equipment under the hood? I was changing a clutch and had to wrestle the air tube that comes from a solenoid behind the smog pump. There is a diaphram that is inside that must have split and caused a vacuum leak. Take the vacuum line off of the valve and see if that helps.
