Default 5.0 vs 4.6

Hi all. I am considering purchasing a Mustang this year. Most likely it will be a 5.0 GT. Either the 94-95 (which I prefer) or the earlier shape. However, i could be tempted by a 96+ 4.6 if one comes up that I can afford.

My question is, what's best -The 5.0 or the 4.6?Theyseem to have identical power outputs so what's to choose between them?

another one......

do not buy a 96-98 4.6 unless its a cobra with the DOHC motor in it

so scratch the 4.6 out and just buy a 94-95 or 87-93 5.0 FTW

or unless you plan on putting PI heads in to the 4.6. They suck the early years.

I would definitely go with the 5 liter over 96-98 4.6. They only make about the same power as the 5.0 stock, and the 5.0 can become much faster for cheaper. Unless you plan on getting a 96-98 cobra, those are pretty nice cars.

I wish I could afford the Cobra but probably a little out of my league for now. Thanks for the helpful reply.
