I know in the SSP foxbodies the police package is just better suspension, and improved frame strength. I am guessing it is the same for the crown victoria 5.0.

The SSP package added a few various things to the foxbody depending on which department ordered them with what options ,but engine wise it usually included an oil cooler, heavier duty silicone radiator hoses and clamps, and 130amp alternator. The cars got heay duty stabilzer bars,2 piece speedo cables, certified 160 mph speedometers ,relocated trunk release, reinforced floor pans and probably some more stuff I cant think of off the top of my head.

i learned the hard way...the rotors are a little bigger....i ordered my cross drilled slotted rotors for an 89 gt, and when they came in...they were way too small.....that sucked!!!
