4" might be a little big but I would definetly go with a 3"+ from what I have read on turbomustangs.com. I would talk to those guys over there, there are some knowledgable turbo guys over here but there are TONS over there and will help you alot.

Default RE: 351w and turbo...Are these good heads?

going 76mm turbo so i can hit the high notes,,, hehe 76mm will put me up around 700-750RWHP on about 12#s boost that should be around 920FWHP the 60 and 66mm are only capable of round 700-750FWHP and my 347 breathes hard so gotta have enough flow also, i know that i will have just the slightest bit more lag than the 60 or 66 but from guys i have talked to with the 60 and 66 they dont experience "lag" b/c the engines climb so fast and push lots of air through them, so in order for me to push my lil toy to the low 10s or high 9s i gotta have the HP b/c of a vert i already start 400#s heavier than the notch, so i gotta find the ponies to take care of that!

first off my man with our cars 550 wheel wil get u 9's, second off the canfield heads you want are the 2 something they are one hte site of camshaft innovations, so just go there and look under heads, they are real good and will flow as well as the afr 225. third off with that setup ur gonna be makin well into the 650-700 wheel hp range and u should be hittin high 8's which dont really make for a streetable car. fourth i do support the custom ground cam, for ur setup the trick flow stage 2 wont do much.

good luck

plans...make 550rwhp reliable, running 91oct, with 351w and turbo on 10psi intercooled. its going to be a daily driver(local) on a 87-93 GT...street/strip. run mid 11's all day at any given time..and I dont want it to be track/strip fast where its fast because of susp or or launch(60ft times)and runs 11.5 at 115mph...I want supra fast where it ran 11.5 and trapped at 135+...If you Know what I mean. where the turbo/motor pull really hard on the top end.

88Blue, i just got the Dart block, rebuilding right now, as for the turbo going with HP 76mm, it is still going to be a street car, DD, and see the track prolly less than 15-20 times a year, want the turbo so i can adjust boost run 8-10 on the street and 12-17 on the track depending on fuel at the time
