Default how long does it take?

i've been trying to get my car doen when i don't have classes and such and my car's been sitting since august. i know i need to change the oil but how long does it take for gas in the tank to go bad?

my dad says bout 6 weeks then its pushing it unless u put this deselerater in it... his got a motorcycle i guess thats why he knows... it seats around a lot when it gets cold...

adder u have to take into acount its a sunfire... no really performance to speak of... N/O.... so it doesnt need to full potentional of hte gas... and it probably doesnt run as well as if could on a 3 year old take of gas... also depends were u leave what type of gas it is and who it was bought from...

performance doesnt matter, bad gas is bad gas. if you've had a car sitting for longer than 2 months i would atleast add newer gas to the old and try to dilute it.

stabil ...good stuff , always use that , but in your case i say if you got more then $10,000 in your engine i wouldnt worrie , its not good because your octane rating is goin down because of moisture and other contaminants, so you would get preignition
