to be perfectly honest, just find a terminator motor from a 03 cobra, or just buy a 03 mach 1 motor, and procharge that, all total after parts that setup will run u about 8-10 grand.
and as far as the new blocks not liking boost, thats a lie, b/c with cold air and a tune they make over 320 wheel, which is about 380 at the crank, so with cams and other stuff they like it. maybe the internals arent that good, but the block is good for over 600 hp

LOL, i'm married, got the lady already.
Someone posted about the 4.6s taking well to boost. I've been reading alot and it seems the 05-07s don't like anyhting over 400hp on a stock block. True or not i'm not sure, people were saying yes and no. But I definately don't want something that i'm afraid to get on because the power handling is iffy.
I think one of my biggest worries is learning a new motor completely. The 5.0s are simple. There's an awful lot of **** to back together wrong on a 4.6 it seems.
Just a fyi, I am leaning towards a turbo setup on this one so there will be PLENTY boost. That's another reason the 5.0 is appealing. My pocketbook won't be AS afraid to nuke a relatively cheap 5.0 compared to these $8k 4.6 blocks im seeing from DS.
I did see a 1995 Cobra 7k miles, but TAN interior, BAH.

Whats this you say about a Teskid block? I am thinking of switching to a 97 cobra i found that is black. Its a pristeen car and is WAAAYYY cleaner than mine. Plus I wanna put cams, and procharge it and be done with it. I just want 500 horsepower i dont care how haha. How are the internals on a 98 cobra? I dotn mean to jack the thread but i figured that everyone would benefit from this info.

Not saying your right or wrong but for a little presonal experience my boss told me he cracked his block in his 05at a tad under450 rwhp. He had a s/c on it and when he contacted the builder he said tough, cause he told him it was dangerous to do. And to the poster I say go with the 5.0, there beutiful cars, they are becoming more and more rare, and there just plain cooler.

Guess what i'm saying is it seems the 5.0 can take more abuse and has a little more tolerance for error.Just my 2 cents though.
I will say the room under the hood of a 5.0 seems like the trunk of a crown vic compared to the 4.6s.

5.0 . you say you are familiar with it as am i , that sealed my decision.hell they are still making aftermarket parts for them after what 10 years.and aftermarket blocks can handle some serious horsepower.good luck with your quest.and i have a tan interior...lol

the block itself is good for 1500 hp, stock, the internals are not that good only for about 450 wheel, and the cams for taht car are over 1500 so i wouldnt recommend that, but a s/c is a good idea for those motors.

well like someone on here always tells me with ford blocks no two are alike. so he prob had that happen and then with someone else they could run 500rwhp and be fine. i am just saying what i have been told

so good luck with ur decision. and also if u got some money, go with a 351 cleve, the power u can get with those motors n/a cannot be touched by any other small block, ls1 included.
