rear end locker differences

RE: rear end locker differences
i believe an e-locker is like a limited slip untill you turn it on. when you send a 12v signal through it, it locks like a spool. a detroit locker would be best in a daily driver

RE: rear end locker differences
Could alsoconsider Richmond's Powertrax locker too, workssorta like aDetroit, but the mechanism for locking/unlocking is different. Does the same thing in the end(full differentiation in a turn, locks in a straight/under power). I've never had a Detroit so I couldn't tell you how they compare, but I know my Powertrax has some ***** to the wall traction. The only drawbacks with the Powertrax(dunno if it's the same for the other lockers) is if you get on the gas in a curve you develop push, and if it's a clutch car, getting on/off the clutch rapidly in slow tight radius turns(parking lots etc) can give a loose slapping driveline sensation, and it has a bit more backlash than a stock setup.
