What mass air meter is it? If its a C&L it needs to sit correctly. Also is it a Automatic? First thing to check is o2 sensor make sure they arent loose or only half threaded in or make sure a wire isnt burned or broke with a short. My car does simialr things ,takes about 5 sec for it to settle down gotta get used to that. And MD made a good point clean the IAC or just replace it.

 

im gonna try the iac clean tonight,, try to get it to a shop tomorrow to check codes....it is a 5 spd. w/ stock maf

 

no luck i cleaned out. still doeent work... going to buy 1 on ebay i am puzled

 

I have been having the same exact problem with my 95 GT. When I shift the Rpms come down extremely and the idle will not subside until I come to a complete stop. I have replaced my IAC and this does not cure the problem. I am still looking for a solution. Good luck with your search!

 

well when your in motion even in neutral 1500 rpms is about normal mine does the same thing but if your are concerned check your tps to see that it doesnt need to be replaced. if thats not it then i dont know what to tell yah.
