NO dude you are starting to so like you dont know what your taling about, My point is, so e7s were only used in 87? i dont think so bro, do some research or something for that matter, and no im not arguing just stating the facts, and that Crown Vic motor was the original, they didnt did used one motor for one year only.......

RE: E7's?
my bad for what i said i was tryin to hit the edit button but the site kept kicking me off, the e6's sucked even worse than the e7's, maybe ford did, i just dont see why they would, they would have to be smarter than that.

RE: E7's?
True, also maybe someone might have and idea, since H.O.s were introduced a long time ago, but in his Crown Vic manual, its stated that it only has the non HO firing order, which i thought just couldnt be, but who knows, guess its not a performance car though....

RE: E7's?
My set up, ported/decked(.030) E7's, 1.7 RR, stock cam, stock intake, stock throttlebody, gears, full exhaust.
I ran may car before doing the heads and rockers and I ran a best of 14.0 at 100 mph, then after the heads, I ran a 13.7 at 105mph. It works, but would be better with better heads.I did it all myself, upgraded the springs for $70and after all was done, I had about $85 for gaskets, $55 for head bolts, misc $25 (oil change, antifreeze, thermostat) so a total of about $225. It is worth it if you want to do it yourself, but I wouldn't pay someone for the work. Also, be careful if you use 1.7's, and deck you heads if you want to run a diferent cam about P to V clearances.
BTW, I have fully ported my upper and lower intake, new TB and other things so we will see what I can run this summer.

RE: E7's?
The cam's were different between the HO and non HO. Thats why the firing order was different. Not sureif the cranks were different.....They changed their heads in 87 and they sucked. Then back to the E7's in 88with better computers to compensate for emissions. Not anything crazy, just better calibrations. Coincidently, I had a similar discussion with a co-worker. Its a little fuzzy but one year they made crap heads and switched back.
