Default E7's?

how much hp would I have with my E7 headswith the air bumps taken out and shaved a bit? Could I run this with the B-303 cam or would I need to upgrade the valve springs? If so what so I go to? Could I run this cam and 1.7 rr? does anyone have anyclue how much power I would have? I have a '90 5.0 ho block stock bottom end, Edelbrock proformer intake, and a holley 600 cfm vac. secondaries, all connected to a C4. sorry for all the questions

well see the problem is I dont have any money...would they be okay im not looking for alot of hp just some more then stock. my plans are to have the heads done with a 3 angle valve job and take those bumps out. would I have to upgrade the valve springs for a bigger cam like the B or E cam? and which one would be better? I wanna put u/d pullies, a cam, headers, o/r h-pipe, and flows what should I be at in hp? Would I be close to around 250-260 rwhp?

+1, just go GT40. By the time you add up all the time, effort, headaches, and money you spend doing that to the E7's it'll be worth it. Just make sure not to get GT40P's, as they require different headers, among other things

dude i told u, u dont have e6 heads ur not an 86, unless u put a 86 block in ur car. u have e5's they are the same as e7's except they are not efi. only the 86 5.0 has e6 heads.

but +1 on the gt40 heads. and the e7's can make power but u HAVE to port them, if u dont port them they wont flow and no power shall be made. if u port em pretty good, go with a trick flow stage 1 cam and that intake u will have about 260-270 wheel.
good luck

Did you port them yourself or did someone else do it? I went over mine w/ my Dremel....I port matched the intake side first then opened up the runners some. I opened up the exhaust runners and removed the thermactor bumps as well. I agree that GT40's are better, but if you don't have any money you can't get a set, so....... your E7's will do decent ported, but don't expect huge gains. Before porting, I took my heads to a machine shop and swapped them out for a set that was magnafluxed, new valves (and my Crane spring kit), and had 3-angle valve job. This was when I was a noob and didn't know about the GT40's....but I only spent 140 on them.....

I would definitely upgrade the valve springs, regardless of cam choice;but especially over .500 lift!!

As Thumper or any of his customers would say....B-303 advanced 4°, his ported E7's, a good set of gears and a good tune = high 12s N/A.

Any upgrade to the cam = upgraded valve springs required....my 2¢.
