I was wondering how to ID stock heads. I looked at mine and on the drivers side near the 5 cyl I saw a 91. My car is a 91, would this have a reference to the year made? I was wondering b/c I was told my car had gt40 heads but I never found the 3 bars that were supposed to be on the drivers side. All help is much appreciated.

gt40 heads should have 3 bars in the front of them and shout say gt on them... e7s i believe are stamped e7te on them.

would I have to take off my headers or valve covers to see the three bars? b/c i never saw a e7s

e7 casting is on bottom side of intake runner, the 3 bars are on the end of the head where your acces. are bolted to

Gt-40s are stamped on the outside, i believe E7TE is also, which a 91 has(stock). im pretty sure the only thing under the valve cover is 302, but i do know 351W are stamped on(or around) the bottom
