Good stuff. I'm still not set on any one plan as of now. I'm considering making the motor a stroker, but thats a lot of cash, and I'm trying to keep the financial side of things somewhat tame... That was my main reason for ditching the rotary... V8's are cheap power compared to building a rotary to the same output...

Yeah I really don't think it came with an xcam from the factory. And I'm willing to bet you the pistons are stock pistons which are cut some from the factory. As for the 450 flywheel **** n/a don't let anyone tell you it can't be done, because it can be. The main thing that will get you over the 375 mark is compression. I mean really I just built a motor that would have done it, I just didn't get the car finished and now it is sold. Here's what I had... DSS .030 over flat top pistons flycut for clearance (should produce about 10:1 compression), a windage tray, an x cam, trickflow twisted wedge heads stage 2 ported with ferrea 2.02" and 1.60" valves, Ford Racing 1.6 roller rockers, holley systemax intake, 75 mm throttle body, 77mm mass air, 1 3/4" longtubes to dual 3" all the way back, aluminum driveshaft, a TKO tranny, no smog or a/c, underdrive pulleys, really short belt, lightweight flywheel, and a Anderson powerpipe. This combo with a good tune on it would have laid down for sure about 400horse at the tires.
