Which axels for 5 lug 18" Saleens on a Fox?
I'm planning on doing a 5 lug disk conversion on my 91 notch for better brakes and so I can fit 18' saleen wheels (5lug). I'm just not sure whether to use stock length axels from a ranger/aerostar or the longer sn95 axels. I wanna fit the widest tires possible in the rear without them sticking out past the body or rubbing my exhaust. Anyone got the answer for me?

it depends on which saleen rims you use... the backspacing is what you goin to need to worry about that will tell u how it will be positioned in the axle. each relicated saleen rim has a lil different diminstions... if u can get ahold of hte dimisions throw them up here... i mayb be able to run a few numbers... i dont own a fox tho so i dunno how easy it will be

Well to give you an idea...
I have 03 Cobra's 17x9's with -26mm of offset, WITH a once inch spacer on stock fox axles... 255/40/17 and the tires are flush with the body. I plan on using SN95 axles (1/4 inch shorter then my current setup) to bring in the tire just a little bit.

I found the Saleen 18' replicas in 18x10 with a +45mm offset and also with a +22mm offset. I havent done the conversion yet but I'd rather use the sn95 axels. Again, I dont want the wheels sticking out and I'd like to use 285mm tires.
