higher octanes

is it safe to run trick or a high octane in my nearly stock 95?
i will be running it at sac raceway on the 28th. any tips or words of wisdom?

race fuel will not help you at all... it may actually slow you down because you can can not take full advantage of the slower burn time of the higher octane fuel... stick to pump gas

I would be more worry in keeping the car's engine cold between rounds....set the time up to about 18 and use '93 for track use..use water instead of antifreeze at the track so you can do some drain and fills to keep the engine cool for more hp

If anything, just run 93 octane premium pump gas and bump your timing a few degrees so you at least gain some HP out of the deal.
