Yeah, really sucks when you head up against imports that mainly rely on top end. [:@]Hate em all.

...and no I haven't ever dyno'd it. They tell me it cost around a grand to do and I don't have that money anymore. I sure want to though.
It may cost that much for a dyno tune complete with a custom chip and a bunch of runs, but it shouldn't cost anywhere near that just to see wahtcha got udner the hood

Most places will charge $50 - $100 or so for somethin glike 3 dyno runs. Although if you shop around and make some friends, you can probably work out a deal. Just do a run in 1st, a run in second, a run in third, then a final run in fourth (which should be a 1:1 ratio) to see what your HP and TQ is.

The first three runs will show you your powerband... You can actually see at which RPM you stop pulling hard. That is the point where you want to switch to the next gear. If you shift earlier than that point, it puts you that much further away from your next peak point. If you shift later, you're just wasting precious timebecause you're not accelerating as fast as you would be if you were in the enxt gear already.

After checknig out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, you will know exactly when to shift. Then the final one in 4th will give you the numbers to brag about... or to hide in shame depending on what they are Either way, you should be able to find a place that will let you do those four runs for $50 - $75 or so. Doesn't take long at all and you're not doing any tuning.

WHAT!? Was that chassy dyno? And I live in KY by the way so I guess they figured they didn't need to use any.

You know what they say, if two people say the same thing then it must be true so I'm going to start looking around. Actually I am now currently doing that as I type. Slow internet

dang they are trying to screw ya! i was going to shift my old 347 at 6500 after the tune but normally shifted at 6-62 before the tune. most stock or close to stock 5.0's fall on there face after 5k so really no need to go any higher than that

Auto Motion - 636 E. Broadway Louisville, KY. They charge $50 for 3 dyno pulls. Or you can pay $100 / hour. (Website linked below)

the stock rev limit is set way too high from the factory as it is, wont your stock block take a s%$* at 7000?
