in my stock 91GT auto i have it set to shift at 5k, it feels like it has so much more power

stock tach-5500ish, my autometer says its like 5100... i set the light at 5100 and shift when it blinds me.... ends up at 5200 or so, car usually sees 6k tho, due to flat shifting it.

Yep when my GT was completely stock, I saw better times shifting at about 4900-5100rpm. If I took it to 5500rpm it was just spinning the motor too high. Every 5.0 is different however, some shift higher, some lower. When It was built, my shift point was about 6100rpm.
