Never heard of thread "sealer" kindof sounds like it would be a silicone of some sort and thread lock hardens.

the descriptions say they both make a seal and stop vibration just wonder cause I dont know if i should use it on my head bolts or go by the sealer with the same description. I just want a good seal for the one that goes into the water jacket

thread locker is loctite. it keeps bolts tight.

thread sealer is for like water pump bolts. or bolts that go into a water jacket. they prevent leakage.

Teflon Tape is a thread sealer. Also used on fuel lines. It is a stickyless tape. Not a glue like Lock Tight.

I would not use lock-tite on a cylinder head bolt, but thats just me...they make thread sealer with teflon, napa sells it.

Use permatex thread sealer. It works great, I've never had it cause a leak once.
