Default rear gear question

I have a 1994 gt convert w/ 5.0 and auto tranny. What would be the best gears for the rear end to wake it up some? also approximately what would it cost gears and all to get em installed. Im in North Carolina in a small town and they seem to be real epensive to get em done around here.
thanks for any help with this.

+1 on the 4.10s. You can probably get the gears for $200 or so. For the install you're looking at $300 - $400 more (including install kit and fluids.)

So, I guess that means +1 on the price as well, lol.

Definately 4.10's.

I paid $250 to get mine installed and the traction lock unit rebuilt at the same time but I already had the gears and install kit and traclock rebuild kit.
I paid $100 for used gears, $165 for the bearing kit and $45 for the rebuild kit.
