hey guys!
i just got my carpet i ordered and i need to remove the rear seat out of my pony to get the new carpet in but, i just cant get it out, plz help im so lost, by the way its an 86 hatchback gt, thanks so much- jim

push down on it and slide it back a bit, theres 2 hook thingies that latch on each side under the seat

I always though you just pulled the back edge of the lower part of the seat up, then it just unclipped

well, i got it out but there is still the top part that you lean back against while ur sitting...

which you dont have to remove to change your carpet....

however, if you look around, youll probably find that it bolts in.

Like said you dont have to remove to install the carpet but if you want to heres how I did it. There are two bolts that go into the side of the quarter that have to be removed. Then there are a couple of bolts (6 i think) in the middle of the rear seat that have to be removed. They the seats just slid out. You may have to remove teh metal backing first which is just a series of screws into the rear floor and they are connects to the side side (cant remember how).
