From what I know, long tubes are usually the only ones that cause emissions problems (don't blame me for being underinformed, blame my non-emissions state
).

Most, if not all shorty headers are emissions legal and come with a CARB OE number.This number means they are offically approved by thesmog policefor use on emission controlled vehicles. If you were to look at the applications page for these headers you would see they do have such a number http://store.summitracing.com/partde...456+4294923429. If you look on this page you will see the CARB OE number, which is D-245-8.
