Default what a drag

Went to the gainesville speedway last night for the first time. What a blast. Hoped my times would have been better, but at least I know were I am starting at. Here is my best run, tell me what you think, any suggestion would be appriecated. I have to get it into the mid 13's soon or I'll go nuts.
r/t-.108 60'-2.173 330-6.109 1/8- 9.391 1000-12.179 1/4- 14.557 mph-93.06
thanks.

that's not bad at all for the first time at the strip. that's a full second faster than my '88 AOD went back in '94 the first time I went to the strip and let it shift automatically. some suspension mods or sticky tires will help out with the 60' time and that will bring down all the rest of them accordingly.
Lots of fun ain't it!

89 lx hb. 5 spd. w/ pro 5.0 shifter, centerforce clutch, long tube headers, flowmasters, cobra intake, al. radiator, al. driveshaft, 373 gears, weld on subframe connectors, larger than stock cam, weld drag lites, with 275/75/50 on rear, few other goodies I cant remember right now. Because I bought this car pretty much as is, I'm not sure just how high I can rev it, so I shifted at 5600 rpms.

your at the right shift points but for what mods you have your times are off. be aggressive and get some tires then launch at 3500 rpms with the stickies at 18psi.

yeah with those mods you should be able to get into 13's easy.

I have about same mods except for the nitrious.

But I have a AOD....stock AOD and I can pull a 13.9 w/o the juice!

So turn the timing up and run better gas 93/94 or CAM2 and then you should be able to do a little better! Shift hard and fast. And launch at around 2 grand with those tires!

I have all those mods excpet for the rims and cobra intake.Though I have more than that, I just dont remeber all that I have done, and I run 13.7 with slicks, and im not the best driver, If I practice ill cut some lower ET's. So the same goes for you just practice.

to low of psi on street tires will result in worse times. now if you had some sort of sticky tire then yes drop it that low. dont just dump the clutch on street tires. slip that bitch at like 3k or so and ride it out then short shift into 2nd. yes you may take some life off your clutch but your racing it so when do you care :P
