Default what would you do?

i gotta block with 170k on it, and am taking the heads off, to get more power, also doing cam, i can get the heads i have now port and polished for close to free, is that worth it? or are they still not very good? how good are the gt40 Y? ...

go with the edlebrock heads, best heads for a bolt on 302

also wouldnt eat for a while[:@].......... can you get to 300-350rwhp with gt40 heads and a bcam? with alot of bolt ons? or is it not worth it, and just get used afr's........... also i was wondering, i i just replaced the gaskets and put it back together to get it smoged, then i could get offroad heads... i was wondering if non smogable heads make bigger numbers?

I'd put a B cam in and P&P the stock heads... best bang for the buck

Any P&P job is well worth any money you put into it as long as you're not getting ripped. Letting more air flow and flow more freely is always a plus!

md, after i p&p stock heads, would they flow as good as g440 / gt40p? i hear the stock ones are pretty close to the worst heads there are

yea with a GOOD port job you should be able to equal or barely exceed the GT40's flow stock flow, if you get a GREAT port job with bigger valves you can get real close to the flow of edlebrocks

thanks alot md..... my goal is to get 300+ plus, and was wondering if this sounds like it would do it ... stock block / stock heads with alot of work / trick flow street intake / 70mm throttle body and egr spacer / under drive pullys / 73mm mass air / electric fan / long tube headers / catless x / 2 chamber flows .... sounds like alot, but im more than half way there i also know im going to need bigger injectors when going past 300

not sure yet, but i want the biggest cam i can use with being able to pass cali smog, so far im thinkin bcam, but not sure, dont need to be a fms cam
