exactly! the only thing its going to do is go to the intake so if the intake can't flow then it slows there.

i can understand how a 3 inch exhaust can hurt b/c there is no backpressure but i dont get the t/b thingy....

thats what i was thinking. i can't remember how much hp it was making though. i will see if i can't find it. i think it was around 320rwhp out of a 306

The main thing w/ the TB size is that too large of a TB will decrease your velocity b/c more air flows in than some setups can flow. W/ GT40 heads and an aftermarket intake, I would go w/ a 70mm. Also, make sure you're running a MAF at least as big as your TB....a larger TB is pointless if you can't get air past the stock 55mm MAF.
