Default replacing window motor

ok guys, so both windows in my 94 GT use to creep up and down...now they wont move, they just make a buzzing sound.

I would assume my window motors have gone out????

Anywho, how hard is it to replace the motors?

chances are its the little plastic plugs inside the gear housing of the motor. (they turn into waxy mush after a few years) replacements can be gotten for cheap, and an even better fix is to replace them with small nuts found at any hardware store.

ill be damned if i can find pics, but its pretty self explainitory and ford used the same design on like umpteen different cars from the 80s until ???

heres a very crude drawing showing basically what it looks like and where the nuts should go to replace the plastic things that are destroyed.... the size of the nuts, it was something like a 3/8 or 7/16 wrench fits on the nuts (cant remember for sure the size) - anyways they are usually really thin so i double stack them. shouldnt cost you more than 1.50 at any hardware store =)

Yes it does. I have had to replace three sets of them so far. Not hard just messy with all the grease and the like.

Hey if its drivers side window motor let me know. I bought one off ebay but i found out it was a short because the previous owner tapped in to the window wires for power to an alarm. PM me if you are interested its rebuilt. like new. I never use it and will let it go cheap.
