so i got my 373 gears installed and they guy said i should be easy on them for at least 200 miles and that everytime i turn my car off let it cool all the way down before driving again

That would be good. It sounds like people usually break them in for about 200 feet. [sm=gears.gif]

I don't think so, The guy that installed my said no such thing I find that hard to beleive too let the car cool down for awhile and than you can drive it again............I don't know but if that what he said,,,,,,,,Hmmmm??

+1 I lasted about 200 feet.... literally lol I pulled out of the shop, came to the first traffic light and than raced my boy who was driving my 00 Intrepid

i was told also to let mine break in but i don't understand what they mean by letting the car cool down every single time. go back to them and ask them to explain it more and by the time you get an answer that makes any sense the car will have cooled down all the way

Doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about. The break-in period is merely to make sure nothing is screwed up, so you're not causing more damage if it is.
