maybe....you always need your piston first before you bore because your machanist will bore it different for cast or forge pistons and some compnays might be a 1000th larger/smaller

thats what i thought, and anything over 40 on a 351w makes it basically a anchor for my boat.

first of all, .060 is FINE for that motor. F I N E

secondly, wheres the pistons? if they bored it w/o them maybe they didnt hone and its just a rough bore waiting for the slugs so they can get the clearances right? have someone drop a bore gauge in there and see what its actually at. if its on the tight side of things grab .040 pistons and have them hone it till its right. (plus the finish will change depending on if cast or moly rings are being used so it has to be right)

you think it will be ok at 60 over, its going in my stock car so it will see alot of abuse. plans for it is the scat rotating assembly at 12.1 comp, stock heads which is all i can afford for now.

yeah dude.... but seriously check the bore and see if you can grab some .040's and be ok - not to mention if its gonna be a race car you'll be happier with looser tolerances anyways. which heads are you gonna run? i take it they have to be stock fords to stay legal?

score a set of GT-40P's, if not GT-40's, if not 1969/1970 351w heads.... gotta represent the blue oval with decent stuff or the chevy guys will walk all over you. of course, for roundy round track the 351C 4V heads would be best - thats where building a "clevor" REALLY shines, you will whoop the crap outta everyone out there
