Default Putting New Canton Oil Pan On. Need a lil help

I got a T sump Canton Oil pan.. and i got the four piece gasket set from canton and also got a HV oil pump. it came with the new rod and all. but i got no papers with this? I dont know any tourqe specs or nothing.. or is there any for a oil pump n pan? also people are telling my HV oil pumps are proned to brake on street cars but i got a 7qurt oil pan i dont think it will run dry.

I have a Canton 7qt also, just not the T I think. I just tightened the oil pump bolts real well. I've never had a probalem.

Not sure what year car you have but I put on the rails from a 94 F-150 5.0 that go below the oil pan bolts. I had to auger out a few of my bolt holes in the pan also to make it work. Canton recommends to use the fours piece gasket and not the one piece rubber for some reason,I can't remember, but it was even a pain on the engine stand. Don't forget to use sealer at the corners. ok kewl.. thanks man well i mean ive cranked down many of oil pans.. but when u spend 300bucks on one and over 10grand in the motor alone its different ha ha .. But ya thanks bro. I just need to find out now if therestourqe specs on the oil pump and why people are telling my HV oil pumps break easy. I think people that have them break are putting the HV oil pumps in a stock oil pan.

thanks bds.. helps alot. also the rod that go's into ur pump ,up to the hole were ur distributor go's.. that rod just sits in the pump right? my other one fell out before i had a chance to look at it. I turned the motor over and didnt mean to lol
