Default lifter question
on a 1984 mustang with the 5.0 HO, is it hydraulic tappet or mechanical tappet lifters? i know it's not hydraulic roller-style but i'm unsure as to the tappet type.

also, if it's mechanical tappet, could i switch to hydraulic, and, if so, would there be any benefit to doing so?

they are hydraulic flat tappet stock..... and NO hydraulic lfters are NOT compatable with a mechanical cam or visa - versa
